Homemade Immune System Booster with Turmeric, Ginger, Citrus Fruits & Apple
Turmeric is well known in natural medicine for its powerful anti-inflammatory properties.
This root is perfect for giving your immune system a natural boost. It’s also great for a detox juice cleanse and ideal if you frequently experience inflammatory issues.
Turmeric is relatively easy to work with, but beware! Anyone who has ever peeled this root knows that turmeric stains can be quite stubborn.
The curcumin in turmeric gives it its intense yellow-orange color, which causes those persistent stains on hands and surfaces.
That’s why I recommend making a batch in advance and storing it in ice cube trays. This way, you have your daily dose of turmeric ready to go—while keeping your hands and kitchen clean. 😉
I’ve enriched my healing shot with ginger, citrus fruits, and apples—a perfectly balanced sweet-spicy-tangy combination.

Michaela's Opinion: I love these shots! By storing them in freezer bags, I can enjoy them for much longer.

Instructions:
1) Wash the ginger and turmeric thoroughly, peel, and chop into small pieces.
2) Peel the apples and citrus fruits, then roughly cut them into chunks.
3) Place all ingredients in a blender and add water.(See tip regarding water quantity.)
4) Blend everything well, then strain through a fine sieve. Sweeten with erythritol if desired.
5) Pour the finished shot into glasses or freeze in ice cube trays for easy portioning.
Michaela's Tip: If you plan to freeze your shots, use less water to keep the mixture slightly thicker. After thawing, the consistency will naturally become more liquid than before freezing.
